As a Finance Controller at Asamo, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our processes. You will support various tasks in the Finance and HR departments.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with financial and accounting expertise, a critical mindset, and the adaptability required in a fast-paced startup environment.

As a Finance Controller, some of your responsibilities will be:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process and track invoices, bills, and payments.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of bills and collection of receivables.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Guarantee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Compliance and Documentation.
- Human Resources:
- Ensure full compliance with Social Security, Finances, Employment Centers, Insurances, and others.
- Manage HR-related financial flows, including insurances, expense-management, and other suppliers.
- General support to HR.
- Funds and Innovation Grants
- Track non-dilutive funding opportunities (eg European grants, R&D incentives, etc)
- Work with cross-functional teams and our external advisors in preparing and submitting applications to public grants available
- Track execution and ensure eligible expenses are properly recorded in our financial statements
- Ensure full compliance and reporting with proper authorities

Required skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and HR functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English AND Portuguese communication skills.
- Energetic, friendly, and positive-minded.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (or equivalent work experience), valued.
- Experience in support of HR departments is highly valued.
- Possibility to work from the Leiria Office
